JUAN MIGUEL ARREDONDO for
SAN MARCOS
MAYOR
San Marcos is a city full of promise and potential, but to realize that potential, we need leadership that is committed to building a future where everyone can thrive. As a lifelong resident of San Marcos, I’ve seen firsthand the challenges and opportunities our community faces. I am running for mayor because I believe in the power of this city and the strength of our people. Together, we can address our most pressing issues—housing affordability, economic growth, public safety, and preparation for natural disasters—while preserving the unique spirit that makes San Marcos home.
My campaign is about bringing people together to build a city that works for everyone.
A BRIGHTER
FUTURE IS
POSSIBLE.
With your support, we can build a San Marcos that is affordable,, safe, prosperous, and resilient—a city where every resident has the opportunity to succeed. I’m committed to working tirelessly on behalf of our community to turn this vision into reality.
Together, let’s build a brighter future for San Marcos.
I am a proud fifth-generation San Marcos native and a very proud uncle to sixth-generation San Marcos residents. My commitment to this community runs deep. Growing up here, I attended San Marcos public schools and am a proud alumnus of Texas State University. My career began at Texas State, where I managed a federal grant aimed at enhancing educational opportunities for local high school students. This work fueled my passion for education and led me to serve as a Chief of Staff in the Texas Legislature, where I gained valuable experience in public policy and advocacy. For nearly eight years now, I’ve had the honor of serving as a San Marcos CISD school board trustee, dedicating myself to improving education and supporting the future of our hometown.
Now, I’m ready to take my community service to the next level by running for mayor. I believe in the potential of San Marcos and am committed to leading our community towards a brighter future.
